About Sacred Waters
Meet Latasha Brown (she/her), CNM
I am a Certified Nurse Midwife originally from Philadelphia, who relocated to Milwaukee, WI where I worked as a full-scope CNM at a local hospital.
As a CNM, I provide inclusive, respectful, and safe midwifery care. Whether you’re looking for childbirth education, support on your fertility journey through IUI, seeking a home birth experience, or curious about placenta encapsulation I would love to work together.
I’m here for you.
Why Midwifery Care
I chose midwifery care because I want to empower people to tap into the innate power of their bodies and transform the way they connect with their health. I want to connect with people on a deeper, personal level as well as foster a community that will support, guide, and nurture one another.
MY BACKGROUND
I obtained my Bachelors degree in Nursing from La Salle University and have over 10 years of nursing experience. I fell in love with midwifery care after having my own children and seeing that there was a better way to birth. I obtained my Master's of Science and Midwifery and Women's Health from Georgetown University. I have well-rounded nursing experience in different specialties that has equipped me with the necessary knowledge and skills required to provide high-quality, safe, and supportive midwifery care.
In addition to my educational and professional experience, I have a wide range of personal experiences throughout my own childbearing journey. I have experienced teenage pregnancy, IVF pregnancy, child with birth defects, postpartum depression, and racism in healthcare. I am also LGBTQ+ as well as BIPOC. Combining my education, training, and personal experiences, I am uniquely prepared to support and nurture you throughout your fertility and parenthood journey.
